Add the ability to use country codes in Avalara for fulfillment centers not based in the US
Settings > Integrations > Ecommerce > Tax Settings
Avalara now has more flexibility with setting up international fulfillment centers. These changes help define taxes by location, which includes either city and region for international fulfillment centers or postal code for US-based fulfillment centers. As such, Avalara requires either City and Region or Postal Code when setting up fulfillment centers in order to accurately calculate taxes on your ecommerce transactions.
Enter the two-letter country code in ISO format. If you leave the Country field blank, Avalara will default to US.
Setup for current fulfillment settings will not be affected.
Avalara is behind a feature flag.
Navigate to Control Panel in your instance to request to have this feature enabled on your site or reach out to your CSM to discuss enabling Avalara. Learn more about Avalara Tax in this article.
REPORTING
Improve display of Likert question results in Likert Results Overview report
Reporting Hub > Library > Likert Results Overview
We’re making it easier to view reporting on Likert questions from Survey or Reflection course pages with our new Likert Results Overview report. Each Likert question can include a matrix of rows and columns to collect learner input on one or more topics, as shown below. These questions allow learners to evaluate themselves or give feedback on a scale across a number of different questions, with each on a different row.
The Likert Results Overview report displays Likert questions and responses, which are associated with a learner email. The new report separates out each topic and learner response into a separate cell, so you can more easily parse responses. The report accommodates a maximum of 10 topics (rows) per Likert question. More than 10 topics can be accommodated by simply adding a second Likert question to the survey or reflection.
We released the following quality improvements:
- CAM locations were not reflected when cloning a course: We updated the Central Asset Manager (CAM) so that when a piece of content with CAM assets is cloned, the cloned content is now reflected in the CAM assets' locations list. This change is not retroactive and will only affect future cloned content.
-
Distinguish different types of repurchase actions: The Content Actions Log now distinguishes between the type of collection repurchase action by applying two new source labels to the relevant source type:
collection_repurchase
-
a_la_carte_collection_repurchase
This change will only apply to purchases made after this release.
- Send learner notifications upon re-enrollment: Learner notification emails are now allowed to be re-sent upon re-enrollment in content. This helps to increase learner engagement. Note that if a learner was sent a notification for a given course in the past 30 days, they will not receive a notification.
BI Connector
Possible impact to BI Connector syncs (change to production database tables)
A future release includes an update that may have a minor effect on your BI Connector syncs. As part of the Assigned Programs feature work that is underway, a duedate
column will be added to the learningpathactions
and userlearningpaths
tables in the Thought Industries production database, which might affect customer BI Connector syncs. Once this update is live, we advise you to check you SQL queries and make changes, if needed.
Please contact your CSM if you have any questions or concerns.

REPORTING
Report on who authored content items
The Management Actions Log now tracks content creation actions, giving you a record of who creates and clones new content items. Note that content creation actions will be tracked from this day forward but historical creation will not be backfilled into the log.
REPORTING
Distinguish different types of repurchase actions
One of our May releases (currently planned for May 10) will include an item that may have a minor effect on your reporting for purchase actions.
The Content Actions Log now distinguishes collection repurchase actions with two new source labels: collection_repurchase and a_la_carte_collection_repurchase. Previously, these two actions were grouped under the general course_repurchase source. This change will only apply to purchases made after this release.

Include Learning Paths in Collections
If you use collections or a la carte collections as a means to sell multiple content items under a single price tag, you can now include learning paths within these content bundles.
Add learning paths to collections and a la carte collections by using the multi-select learning paths field on the settings page by visiting Ecommerce > Ecommerce Items > Item > Actions > Edit > Learning Paths.
This feature adds five new translations that are used on collection and a la carte collections detail pages. All are essentially the learning path counterpart for existing course translations. They can be found in Translations > Platform Content > Collection Detail Page </strong >section:
-
discount-group.learning-path-count
- Default text: Includes One Learning Path |||| Includes %{count} Learning Paths
-
discount-group.learning-paths-head
- Default text: %{count} Learning Path Included in this Collection |||| %{count} Learning Paths Included in this Collection
-
pickable-group.learning-paths-head
- Default text: %{count} Learning Path Included in this Collection |||| %{count} Learning Paths Included in this Collection
-
pickable-group.learning-path-count
- Default text: %{count} learning path |||| %{count} learning paths
-
collection.learning-path-link
- Default text: View Learning Path Details
We released fixes for the following:
- Logo and Site name do not display when configured for a panorama.
- Bulk index to learningpaths removes the ability to filter by tags.
- When there is no pass message at the parent level for a quiz page type, if a client admin adds a pass/fail message at the client level, nothing will display from the pass/fail message to the panorama learner.
- Batch for Training Credit Account can be created without the name.
- CreatedAt date is not being set when new registration codes are created.
- Content Authoring Manage Certificates Page: No Action Occurs Upon Selecting Cancel Button in CAM Window.
- Filtering content by tag does not work if there is a "-" in the tag name.
- Detail Page Empty when ILT has no event dates configured.
