The Thought Industries AI Content Tools, powered by OpenAI, enable our customers to streamline the creation of text, images, and assessment questions using Natural Language Processing (NLP). Through a secure API with OpenAI, Admins can easily build new content or edit existing content with simple prompts. Additionally, the question generation feature allows Admins to automatically generate questions based on the content within the course itself.

Speed up your workflow and create content in minutes! Any manager user can use these tools including main site and panorama manager roles.
- AI Text Generation: Generate text to combat that blank page. Give a fresh prompt or rewrite existing content.
- AI Image Generation: Generate images to find the perfect visual and keep learners engaged via prompt.
- AI Question Generation: Generate quiz questions to make sure learners are retaining all of the right information. Via prompt or based on existing lesson content.
When configured you can control the following:
- Create or rewrite text blurbs without having to leave the authoring interface
- Add images in seconds for visual interest and engaging content
- Get relevant and helpful assessment questions based on your learning content in the lesson

Accepting AI Content Tools Terms and Conditions
Each individual user must accept Thought Industries terms and conditions of Acceptable Use Policy before they can use any of the AI content tools for the first time.
- If it’s the user’s first time interacting with any of these content AI features, they will see a checkbox below the prompt field where they must agree to the terms and conditions. A link to the terms in a conditions will display beside the checkbox and open a new tab where users can read through them.
- Once the user checks the box, they can successfully use any of the AI features in the future. If they do not check the box, they will see a terms and conditions acceptance warning when they click the ‘Generate’ button or in some cases, the button will just remain disabled.
Note
By default, AI Content Tools will become available on all instances for any manager user with access to areas where AI Content Tools are present (like course authoring for example). You can however request that AI Content Tools be hidden across your whole instance if necessary. You cannot disable for specific roles. Please reach out to your Account Team if this is something you'd like to know more about.
AI Text Generation
AI Text Generation is available from any WYSIWYG across the site, like course authoring or site design. This feature is accessed via the Generate Text button.
You have two options to generate text: start from blank OR rewrite text.
Starting from blank via prompt
Text generated via prompt will be added to the bottom of your content.
- Click the Generate Text button without text highlighted.
- Enter a prompt (required).
- Optionally edit additional settings:
- Task
- Quick Generate (default)
- Explain it to a Child
- Listicle (formats text in a bullet point list)
- Tone
- Friendly
- Professional
- Witty
- Heartfelt
- Educational
- Keywords to include
- Number of Ideas
- Task
- Results will be generated.
- Generate new results by clicking the Try Again button.
- Once text is inserted, it can be edited like normal with existing authoring functionality.
Rewrite existing text
- Click the Generate Text button with text highlighted.
- You will see a modal where the highlighted text to rewrite and replace is displayed.
- Optionally edit additional settings:
- Task Options:
- Refresh (default)
- Expand
- Summarize

AI Image Generation
Admins can generate an image with AI wherever it’s possible to upload images across the site, including within all WYSIWYG fields.
Images generated will be added to the bottom of your content.
- Click the Generate Image button.
- Enter a prompt (required).
- Optionally edit additional settings:
- Quality
- Standard (default)
- HD
- Style
- Natural (default)
- Vivid
- Quality
- An image will be generated.
- Generate new results by clicking the Try Again button.
Tip
If you think you might want the first image, save it to your desktop or add it to your content before clicking Try Again! This way you have that first image option, but can also keep trying to see what else you get.
- Once an image is inserted, it can be edited like normal with existing authoring functionality.
AI Question Generation
Admins can generate multiple choice questions from any assessment page type within course authoring. The behavior will vary slightly based on the assessment page type. This feature is accessed via the Generate Questions button.
Quiz and Test Pages
- Click the Generate Questions button.
- There will be two methods for generating questions:
- Automatic (default)
- The AI will crawl the content (within the current lesson that the assessment is in) and generate relevant questions automatically. Depending on the volume of content in the lesson, not all pages may be crawled. Only certain page types can be crawled (Text, List Roll, Recipe) and others will be ignored.
- After results are generated, the user can see which pages were included and excluded in consideration.
- Custom Prompt
- Automatic (default)
- User can optionally edit additional settings:
- Tone
- Keywords to include
- Number of Questions
- Questions and answer choices will be generated.
- The correct answer will be selected.
- Generate new results by clicking the Try Again button.
Note
After regenerating questions a few times, it’s possible the AI will repeat some question/answer results.
- Select which question(s) you want to include in your assessment.
- Once questions have been added, they can be edited like normal with existing authoring functionality.
Tally, Survey, and Reflection Pages
- Click the Generate Questions button.
- There will be one method for generating questions:
- Custom Prompt
Note
Automatic question generation is not available for these page types.

- There are no correct answers for these page types.
