Purchases that happen in Thought Industries via our native integration with Stripe can be refunded. Providing a refund can demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and serve as an opportunity to gather feedback and improve the course or the overall customer experience.
Use Case Information
Refunds are a personal choice and there are several reasons why you might want to give a refund to a customer. Whatever the reason, a transaction for a purchase made through Stripe on the Thought Industries platform can be refunded in just a few steps. Anyone with Manage Users permission, such as admin and customer service roles, has the ability to refund a purchase.
How to Refund a Transaction
- From your homepage, click Users > Learners.
- Find the user, then click the user's name to access the user record.
- Navigate to the Payments tab.
- In the Transactions section, you will see completed purchases.
- Click Refund Item.
- Enter the refund amount, either a partial or full refund.
- Click Refund.
Tip
Issuing a refund does not revoke content access. If the user's access should also be revoked, click the Access tab and update content access accordingly.
