You can control the number of seats allowed for each individual Panorama, as well as how long the client has access to the learning site.
Use Case Information
A seat is defined as either a learner account or an unredeemed redemption/registration code. The seat limit is strictly enforced, while the expiration date is not. It is up to the site managers to determine what to do and who to notify via email when the expiration date expires.
Panorama Seat Limits & Expiration Dates
- From your homepage, select Panorama.
- Select the Panorama name where you want to apply these settings.
- From the left sidebar menu, select Settings, then Primary.
- Assign a Seat Limit, which will be strictly enforced.
- Assign a Panorama Renewal Date.
- Populate the Emails to Notify fields with the email addresses that you want to notify when the client is running low on seats and/or the end date is approaching.
- Click Save.
Sublicense Seat Limits & Expiration Dates
Seat limits and expiration dates can be further enforced at a sublicense level. Sublicense expiration dates will display to learners on their dashboard for any affected content. After the expiration date has passed, the learner will no longer see the content or the expiration dates. Content that is free with registration will not display an expiration date because the learner will continue to have access even after a sublicense expiration date has passed.
- From your homepage, select Panorama.
- Select the Panorama name you want to alter.
- From the left sidebar menu, click Sublicenses.
- Click the Sublicense you would like to alter and click the pencil icon to edit.
- From the Access tab, set the seat limit and expiration dates.
Warning
Sublicense expiration dates are strictly enforced and will revoke learner access to any content in the expired sublicense that is not free with registration. The learner will still be able to log in with access to the following:
- Any content that is free with registration in the expired sublicense.
- Any content that is attached to another sublicense the learner is in.
- Earned certificates.
Note
Historical reporting will remain intact. Please reach out to your Thought Industries representative for more guidance if you are thinking about implementing sublicense expiration dates.
