The Content Actions report provides useful information such as enrollment, certification, and course status updates. You have the option to filter by date range and course, as well as download CSV and JSON reports.
Where do I find this?
Reporting Hub > Library > Learner Actions > Content Actions
How do I do this?
- From your homepage, select Reporting Hub.
- From the left menu, select Library and then Content Actions (in the Learner Actions list).
- The report will automatically run.
Tip
You have the ability to filter by any date range, client, content, learner, type, and/or source.
Type and Source are action values. - Click Run in the top right of the report to generate filtered data.
- For admin, there are two options to download report data:
- Option 1: Download Dashboard data.
This means if the report has more than one data tile, you will get results from all tiles.
Click the gear icon in the top right. From this menu, you can choose to download the dashboard as a CSV or PDF. - Option 2: Download results from an individual data tile.
This option has more format options as well as an option to download all results if needed.
See the section below, "To download results from an individual data tile:", for instructions on how to accomplish this.

To download results from an individual data tile:
- Hover over the top right corner of the tile.
- Click the three vertical dots to reveal the menu.
- Click Download Data.
- Choose your format and options.
Tip
If the results are greater than 500 rows, you can choose "All Results" under Limit to go beyond that default row limit.
- Click Download.

The Course Actions report includes:
Enrollment:
- Course Purchase: A learner enrolled by purchasing a course (or other piece of content).
- Collection Purchase: A learner enrolled by purchasing a collection.
- A La Carte Collection Purchase: A learner enrolled by purchasing an a la carte collection.
- Subscription Access: A learner enrolled by purchasing a subscription.
- Registration: A learner enrolled by registering for the site.
- Gift Course Purchase: A learner enrolled by redeeming a gift.
- Manager Created User: A learner enrolled via a manager invite.
- Manager Course Enrollment: A learner enrolled because an admin enrolled them in a course (or other piece of content).
- Manage Bulk User Creation: A learner enrolled via a bulk invite by a manager.
- Redemption Code: A learner enrolled via a redemption code.
Status Change:
- Course Started: A learner started a course (or other piece of content).
- Course Completed: A learner completed a course (or other piece of content).
Revoked Access:
- Access Expiration: A learner's access was revoked because their access expired.
- Course Deletion: A learner's access was revoked because the course was deleted (by a manager).
- Manager Revoked Access: A learner's access was revoked by a manager.
Certificate Grant:
- Passed Exam: A learner was granted a certificate by passing an exam (e.g. quiz or test) or completing a survey.
- Manager Grant: A learner was granted a certificate by a manager.
