This widget cannot function properly on the built in Catalog page as it is meant to lead users to the Catalog page itself.
The action of searching in the Search Bar widget will lead the learner to the built in Catalog page (/catalog) from any built in or custom page where you include the Search Bar widget.
After making updates to your page design, we always recommend viewing the final product from a learner's perspective to get the full effect.
