New Release Update 03.01.2022

Here's what's included in the second release of the year, 2022.2:

• Custom Role Creation Update
• Admin Navigation Update
• Marketing Email Opt-In on Registration Page
• VILT Timezone Selection Added
• Learner Bulk Import removed from Last Active Date triggers

We've revamped the way custom roles are created! Users who can manage roles now have a wizard that guides them through creating a custom role from a template. We also added in-product descriptions for each permission to help you understand each one. The last step summarizes the new role so you can make sure it's correct before you create it.

We've made a a slight update to our Navigation menu on the manager interface's sidebar. Managers should now use the Account link to open a submenu that lets them access Account info, Switch to Learner role if they have one, and lets them sign out.

Get more people to sign up for your newsletter by allowing learners to sign up while registering for your site outside of the checkout process.

If you use the Registration Page and want to enable this option, go to Settings > Setup > Primary > Registration container, and enable Ask learners to sign up for newsletter at registration?.

You can now select a time zone for your webinar sessions. They default to your school's time zone, but you can always edit as needed. Learners will see this time zone selection on the webinar detail page unless you've enabled the Automatically change Dates & Times to local time zone site setting.

To view this field, go to Content > Manage Content > Any Webinar or VILT Event > Click the Content Title > View Event Step.

Learners created via bulk import will no longer display a last active date immediately after importing. The Last Active Date will be blank, the same behavior as if you had added the learner individually.

In the major feature release currently scheduled for the end of April (2022.4), the recently redesigned content management and authoring interfaces will become the default experience for all users, at the site and Panorama levels.
